Airports with the Hightest Bird Strikes
The following graphs show the top 10 airports in the United States that have the highest number of bird strikes. (The data was composed between the years of 2000 and 2011). Denver's airport comes in at the top with over 3000 recorded bird strikes.

Overall Trends in Bird Strikes
As you can see from the data visualizations above, the main contributer to bird strikes are factors that impair the pilots visibility. Rain and Snow are high amongst the factors. Besides weather the phase of flight plays an important role in the number of bird strikes the approach seems to be the most devastating phase for the birds. Finally the last piece of significant data that was collected was the month in which the flights take place, winter has significantly lower bird strikes then then summer and the fall. One can conclude that this is because of bird migration patterns.
